TREASURE was presented on the first day of CENIM’s 60th anniversary
From 17th to 19th May CENIM based in Madrid, Spain, celebrates its anniversary with three informative days whose purpose is to achieve a deep understanding of the nature of metallic materials by conducting basic and applied research aimed at deepening its entire life cycle (extraction, design, production, transformation, behavior in service, protection and recycling).
Our colleague Alicia Valero Delgado from Instituto CIRCE has been presenting a talk about sustainable metallurgy on the first day of CENIM’s 60th anniversary. In her talk the activities and results achieved in TREASURE have been shared with scientific and industrial stakeholders.
The first day of the congress discussed the sustainability of metallic materials, which requires a global vision that involves the initial stages of manufacturing; understanding the relationship between their structure and properties; the functionality of the product and its service life (longevity); efficiency of natural resources -recyclability and valorization-; pollution, market trends and social impact.
